News and Announcements

The "News and Announcements" component displays the latest news ("post" content type) on the page as clickable squares with the option of a thumbnail.

These tiles are automatically pulled into the component when they are tagged as “related content” to the page. They will display with the latest post first:

When setting up a "News and Announcements" component, you can set the parameters for what kinds of "posts" it will pull in, as well as how many "posts" are visible at a time.

• In the “Display” drop down menu, the most common option is to choose “related”. That will pull in any "posts" that have the page tagged as “related content”.

• If you want to highlight a specific "post", you can start typing the title of the "post" in the “Featured Item” field. This will create a larger tile for that "post" at the top of the component.

• In the "Advanced options" section, you can specify the number of events that should show up at one time. These will be in multiples of three and should stay between 3 and 12.

• You can change the background color of this component to white, gray, or blue by selecting from the "Component Theme."
