Creating a Table

Sometimes the best way to organize information on a page is to place it into a table

To create a table in a Formatted Text Component you'll need to select the table icon from the WYSIWYG menu

The Table Configuration Menu will allow you to set the parameters of your table.

In the Table Configuration Menu, there are only three fields you need to worry about:

  1. Rows: The number of horizontal entries

  2. Columns: The number of verticle entries

  3. Headers: The titles for each column or row.

Leave all other fields as is.

When entering the number of Rows in the table, be sure to count the header in one of those rows. In the below example, the table has 5 rows, with the first row set up as the header for the table.

Please Note: When first creating the table, you will not see the header formatting or row color formatting as it will appear on the finished page. Once the draft is saved you will be able to see the formatting in the draft preview.

Good to know

You can add styling to the table using the font options in the WYSIWYG field.

You can also include hyperlinks in tables.
