Adding Links to the CKEditor
Content authors often use the CKEditor to add contextual links to their text.
To add a link, highlight over the text you want to hyperlink and click the chain icon highlighted below:

When you click on that icon, you'll have the option to add an internal or external link, telephone or email address, or a document:

Adding internal and external links
Just as we saw in our components, adding links through the CKEditor is pretty straightforward.
For internal links, meaning links for pages that are already on Boston.gov, search for the page you want to add and click on it to add it:

For external links, meaning links not on Boston.gov but from outside websites, just copy and paste the link into the url field:

Note: In the screenshot above, you'll notice the gray bar that says "no results". Don't worry about that. Drupal is searching the url, and since the url doesn't exist on Boston.gov, it won't find anything.
To connect the url, just click on the link highlighted in gray above, below the "no results" title.
Adding emails and phone numbers
To add an email or phone number as a link, just select the tab at the top and pick the type of link you want to add. You'll notice that the email option gives you the ability to add default text for some fields:

Adding document links
If you need to upload and add a document link, click the "Upload and Link Document" tab. From there, select "choose file", pick the file from your desktop, and then save:

Once you save your link, you'll go back to the CKEditor and the link will be highlighted in blue:
